Today's judgment affirming the victory of Honourable Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro, member, House of Representatives representing Ife Federal Constituency in the lower chamber is a victory for all. As a legislator, he was elected as a greenhorn in 2019 and again in 2023 making him a ranking member in the house with better opportunities for the benefits of his constituents. So, I thank and congratulate the good people of Ife Federal constituency and honourable Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro in particular whom his unwavering love for his people has never be in doubt for the affirmation of his mandate for the second term.


In the same vein, I commend the gentleman  Honourable Benjamin Adereti for tolling this path of honour in seeking justice to establish the veracity of that which he considered controversial in the electioneering process and other issues so related. Initially, I felt bad as an Ife man that only in Ife Federal Constituency the outcome of that fairly and transparently conducted election was being challenged in court in the whole of Osun State, that, does this action imply a crack in our relationship or lack of bond as a people but I realized litigation after election is still part of the last leg of the electioneering process. So, my brother, Benjamin was much in order with his action and I thank him for the civility and i pray that Almighty Allah will continue to bless him and uphold his household . 


All said and done, I see a new Ife with young, vibrant refined and patriotic gentlemen and ladies if their potentials can be better harnessed regardless of our political differences or affiliations. I wish and hope my dear Benjamin can reach out to his brother and support him on this sojourn believing Bimbo shall also reciprocate the good gesture in the course of time as long as we still live under Almighty Allah’s grace and mercies. I also look forward to Honourable reaching out to his brother, Benjamin in anything he sees or knows could be of great benefit to him in that house he occupies in our names. With this, a greater Ife can be envisaged in no distant period.


In summary, let's come together and forge ahead as our common heritage ( Ile -Ife ) is seriously yearning for rapid development and only collective efforts could  bring the aspired results .
